Double Up Food Bucks

Those who qualify for SNAP can use their card at designated grocery stores and farmers markets to "double up" their allowance. For every dollar in fresh produce purchased, you get a dollar more for free, up to $10 a day. Through this program, you can get $20 of fresh produce for just $10.

Dallas County Health Navigation
If you need additional help connecting to community resources or filling out an application, please call the Dallas County Health Department (515) 993-3750 and ask to speak to a Health Navigator.  Navigators can help with additional needs, such as transportation, housing, employment, and more.

Seasonal and Simple App

Free app that allows you to find local farmers markets, as well as learn what is in season, how to pick and preserve fresh produce, and how to prepare simple and nutritious recipes. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices.

Summer Meal Meet-Ups

Free and nutritious meals available to those under 18 throughout the summer. Many of the 50+ locations also include activities to keep kids active while school is out of session.
